2. Who We Are

Otimo AS is the data controller for the personal data processed through BBall. BBall is a private assistant for basketball player development, available on iOS and Android.

We collect the following personal data:

• Account Information: Name and phone number

• Profile Information: Profile photo

• Player Data: Practice information, player statistics, practice attendance, and self-reported injuries

• User Content: Photos and practice information you upload

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app usage data (via Firebase)

• Communications: Chat messages with your team and teammates within the app

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

• Provide and maintain the BBall service

• Track and analyze your player development and practice attendance

• Generate personalized tips and guides via integrated AI services

• Enable team communication and collaboration

• Send push notifications related to your account, practices, and app features

• Improve app performance and stability (via Firebase)

We do not send marketing emails.
We do not share your personal data with any third parties outside of BBall.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on:

• Contract: To provide the BBall service you signed up for

• Legitimate Interest: App improvement, security, and fraud prevention

• Consent: For push notifications and optional features (which you can withdraw anytime in your device settings)

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Firebase (Google): For app infrastructure, authentication, analytics, and crash reporting

• AI Service Providers: To generate personalized tips and training guides based on your practice data

All providers are bound by data processing agreements that comply with GDPR requirements.

7. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase cloud infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all data connected to your name will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except for anonymized generic statistics (such as team stats) that cannot be linked back to you.
